arm ring and tiny shield

a tiny shield of nickel silver, cut with a jewelers saw. Yes I'm flexing here... it shows how the ring accomodates my arm even during heavy work.

  1. Your metalworks are beautiful. I have one that I made with a little jewler's saw that I'll have to show you sometime... if I can find it haha. I also made myself a pendant out of various metals, a casted wolf skull, but I couldn't put it on a charm. If you ever had the free time, maybe you could make me a special piece of wolf jewelry. :) For future reference, I wear light necklaces (usually chokers, so the pendant couldn't be too big), bracelets that actually fit me (my wrists are extremely thin but my hands are very large in comparison), rings, and earrings of course. If I had some gauged wolf earrings to show off, I'd wear them all the time... however, it'd have to be the right gauge, so maybe when I'm where I want to be I'll let you know. If you're still up to the challenge, that is. :D

  2. Of course, Id love to do that! You can always sketch an idea and I'd adapt it into the metal. I have a little bit of stainless steel and if you wanted silver I'd prefer to use something that wouldn't tarnish. I havent made any earings, but a pendant that could be secured to an earing clasp or necklace would be very do-able. You don't have to wait until you reach some particular gauge either. depending on the production technique, multiples if different sizes might not ne difficult, and I could always put extras up for sale. as long as they're well made somebody would want them. (unless the greedy wolf wants them all to himself) :)

  3. I'm sure the little wolf could handle it if someone else wanted a gorgeous piece of jewelry. :]

I'll sketch something out for you and give you the measurements then... I'll do sketches of different types of jewelry so that you can have your choice. I'd imagine that gauged earrings are probably easier than others, but not all of my earrings are gauged so it wouldn't be a problem if they were on a regular earring. The reason why I'd prefer an earring is because then I won't lose it, break it, and I can show it off everywhere. It's also very important to me - like my hair, my ears are a major part of who I am.

By the way, I prefer silver over gold almost every time, but with intricate design and a pretty pattern, any colour would be fine by me. :) Thank you so much!

  4. You're welcome! I reserve artistic license (meaning I will adjust the design as necessary or as it strikes me to do so as I make the piece) If you have very strong feelings about a particular element or design mak me aware of it. I can send you pics during production if you like. Also if you want pairs that would be a new challenge for me as I generally work in single units where everything I make is unique. i.e. duplication is hard!
